Wino

I had a mini melt down yesterday. However, things are looking up as the day goes on. I'm done with my after school obligations and I finally get to see my husband! (even if it is only for about ten minutes) Yeah! Thank god tomorrow is only half a day with students. Although, I have to admit I'm not looking forward to our training/speaker presentation *yawn*. Tonight, I have a feeling, some kind of bottle, can, or box will be cracked open.

Frazzled

Who likes to have clay rubbed in their hair? Who enjoys having expensive supplies stolen from them? How about, being constantly smarted off to or no attention paid to you at all? Not to mention the inability to keep your clothes clean and your hands washed. It doesn’t matter if you wear and apron or not. It doesn’t matter how many times you wash your hands. They will always be covered with clay, paint, or glue. These are all just part of my day.
Normally, I love my job. Normally, have nothing bad to say about it at all. Today, however, is not that day. I am frazzled, over worked, stressed and don’t want to do anything but go home and veg.

Lip Smackn' Good

I want one!!! If only I could make one!

Walmart...Really?!

With the economy like it is most of us are inevitably trying to save a penny or two. However, when an item is not only striking but a great value, you have to pounce! Right? At least that's my motto. My husband may not agree.
Anyway, that's why I was so pleased with myself this weekend. I found an entire outfit at Walmart; minus the shoes. I already had a pair of brown pumps from target, but since I couldn't find a picture of mine I substituted these; equally gorgeous.
Enjoy...happy Monday...My Monday might not be great, but I'm rockn' a cheap, killer outfit!

Pinky and the Brain

This particular Saturday I woke up with a fire under my rear. I managed to get quite a bit done all before 11. Now, after going to dinner with a girlfriend, catching up, and even a trip to wally world I am relaxing with my husband. I have cup cakes in the oven and I feel exceptionally domestic/ “housewifey”. They are strawberry with confetti icing. Hopefully my cup cakes turn out as gorgeous as shutterbeans. Her examples were so tiny and cute! What an inspiration.
Once I'm done with the cupcakes, I unfortunately have to kick my brain in gear to grade papers. Maybe I'll procrastinate until tomorrow to grade?

Inspirational Wreckage

Give me inspiration. It's Friday and I have been drinking coffee since 6:30 in the morning. I am wired. Unfortunately, I don't have any plans this weekend; not exactly sure how I'm going to exert all this excess energy after work...oh the possibilities.
If I had this kickass journal by Keri Smith I might be able to burn some energy and accumulate a new creative outlook.

Have a great weekend!

Hoggle Wart

I recently saw the movie He's Just Not That Into You. Good movie, but I'm not here to write a movie review. I am infatuated with the girls outfits in the movie. I want to be that put together when I come to school every morning.
Out of sheer curiosity, I thought I would do a search to find more on what they were wearing and possibly some tips. I happened upon this website from instyle. Definitively out of my price range. Hoggle Wart would be impressed with Sara's (a.k.a Jennifer Connelly's) trinket status upgrade!
Who would pay that much for a watch?

The grim reaper...

Well this week is anti-drug week at my school. The brilliant minds that be thought up an activity to signify the deaths caused by drugs and alcohol. Someone dressed as the grim reaper goes to various classroom throughout the day and "kills" one of the students. Once the student is "killed" they may not talk the rest of the day. Now does that sound like a good idea to you?
Also, this week is anti-drug decorate your door contest. My mature students came up with the idea of Mr. Mackey, guidance councilor to South Park. "Drugs are bad, MmmK." Hilarious!
As it turns out, this brought to mind the lovely ghost chair. I would love to have one; just one. I want to set it by my non-existent computer armoire. Oh to have champaign taste on a beer budget.

Here is a pick of the door...I don't know if we won or not, but we had fun painting it.

Spring Time Flowers

Yes, I am an art teacher and contrary to popular belief, that does not automatically make you crafty in all areas related to art. I know its hard to believe, but it is an extraordinary concept for some people to handle. However, even if I'm not great at using a specific medium, I do appreciate it. Case in point, this lovely necklace I found while surfing and sipping on my french vanilla hot tea. Gorgeous!
I have tried a couple of times to learn the art of crochet, but always fall short. Or in my last attempt, extremely long. All I could manage to produce was a lengthy, infinite chain. Maybe some day I'll get the patience to re-try. As for now I can only wish for someone I know with the talent to make me one. A.K.A my mom. Will she read this post? If not I guess there is always Etsy.

Introduction

Recently I've been surfing blogger like crazy. Could it be my emphatic attempt to fill the boredom at work? Or maybe it’s just because I’ve been infatuated with decorating my home, finding artsy clothes, and trends. Possibly, just the happen stance that random people will read and discuss my thoughts. Whatever the reason may be, blogger has inspired me to craft my own digest of thoughts.

Sit back, relax, and enjoy my attempts trying to entertain and master the phenomena called the blog.
